Today, The PEMA Secretariat and Bhutan Taekwondo Federation signed a understanding of collabration to create meaningful opportunities for young people to heal, grow, and discover their own strength through sport.
Speaking at the signing, , Dasho Dechen Wangmo, highlighted the importance of the three Es — Engagement, Empowerment and Empathy in supporting individuals on their journey towards recovery and wellbeing.
Taekwondo offers a powerful pathway for engagement for this journey. Through movement, discipline and perseverance, young people can learn to channel emotions, manage stress, build healthy routines and develop resilience. More importantly, they learn that strength is not only about how hard we can fight, but also about how bravely we can face ourselves, take responsibility for our actions, and rise again.
Together, let us build stronger minds, healthier lives and a more compassionate society.
