A three-day orientation program on hospital-based outpatient and inpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programme was held on September 28 and 29, and October 1, 2022 in preparation for the official launch of the program tentatively scheduled on 10th October 2022 (Word Mental Health Day). The orientation program contributes to fulfilling The PEMA’s mandates of bringing about proactive and responsive mental health service delivery networks; and ensuring multi-sectoral collaboration and coordination.
The orientation program was attended by the SUD Treatment and Care Team comprising officials of the Department of Psychiatry, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital; National Traditional Medicine Hospital; Bhutan Narcotics Control Agency; Recovering Drug Users; The PEMA Helpline; and The PEMA Center Secretariat.
