On May 14, 2024, the local government leaders attending Professional Development Programme in Tsirang were sensitised on the core mandates and mental health services offered by The PEMA. The PEMA is a nodal agency for mental health programmes and services that functions under the leadership and guidance of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen.

The program was organised in view of the potential that the local government holds in identifying, reporting and referring individuals with mental health conditions to appropriate services and interventions.
