“For meaningful progress, solutions must emerge from a collective effort. It cannot be the sole responsibility of professionals. Families, friends, teachers, and the entire community have important roles in creating strong and caring support networks.”
~Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen
Today, coinciding with the Human Rights Day, we are launching the “I Am A Child Series”, our shared vision to create a society where every child thrives. The campaign is not just a milestone but a call to action – a reminder that our children are the foundation of our future, and it is our collective responsibility to nurture and protect them.
Through this series, covering concepts of child protection, role of family, school, community and supporting their mental health and wellbeing, we intend to deepen the understanding of child protection and its correlation with mental health – recognizing it not merely as a duty but as a commitment to shaping the lives of our children at their formative phase. We seek to empower everyone – parents, teachers, neighbors, and caregivers – to actively participate in the journey of nurturing our children’s potential and supporting their unique paths of growth and development.
We, in collaboration with all our partners (Ministry of Education and Skills Development, and National Commission for Women and Children, UNICEF and Save the Children), remain steadfast in our commitment to embrace our collective responsibility to build a brighter, safer, and more supportive world for every child everywhere.
