We are pleased to inform you that The PEMA Secretariat, the nodal agency for Mental Health in Bhutan working under the leadership of Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Bhutan, is organizing the Mental Health Symposium from 25-26 November 2024, Thimphu, Bhutan.
Recognizing the critical need to build a resilient mental health system, the symposium will provide the opportunity to exchange global and regional best practices. We will have international and national mental health experts sharing innovative solutions, and good practices to improve mental health outcomes in the country.
Through this symposium with the theme “Towards Building People-Centered Mental Health Care through Resilient and Supportive Society”, we aim to equip our planners and service providers on evidence based and integrated approaches for mental health interventions and services.
