Coinciding with the World Mental Health Day, The PEMA secretariat launched the Health and Wellbeing Screening System (HWSS), a web-based platform designed to facilitate early identification, support mobilization, service referrals, and aftercare interventions for mental health conditions.

The launch of this system represents a significant milestone in advancing proactive prevention and evidence-based mental health promotion. This initiative was a collaborative effort with unwavering support from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, and other relevant agencies, with support from UNICEF and WHO. The event was attended by the Honorable Secretaries, and representatives from partner agencies. The  system is backed by clear and well-structured implementation plans.
