On 17th June 2024, The PEMA hosted a multi-sectoral meeting, bringing together key agencies to validate the findings of a comprehensive review on mental health related legal provisions. The report is an outcome of series of consultative processes held with key stakeholders. Dasho Dechen Wangmo, the Head of The PEMA, graced the opening of the meeting.

The meeting also aimed to draft a strategic plan for the Integrated Mental Health and Information Management System (IMHIMS). This innovative system is set to revolutionize mental health care by standardizing case registration, enhancing referral mechanisms, and streamlining care pathways, all to support evidence-based decision-making and improve outcomes for individuals with mental health issues.
