The PEMA Secretariat convened a daylong consultation meeting with the guidance counsellors of schools under Thimphu Thromde on Saturday 18 March 2023 at Changangkha Middle Secondary School.

The counsellors were sensitized on the hospital-based SUD treatment and care services. The highlight of the session was the deliberations on the referral pathway for students with substance related issues. Issues pertaining to students referred by police for substance related offences for assessment and mandatory counselling were also discussed.

The meeting was conducted in collaboration with the Thromde Education Office, Thimphu.
