Internship Opportunity at The PEMA Secretariat
Become an intern at The PEMA Secretariat, a national nodal agency for mental health promotion and services in Bhutan. Our mandate is to promote mental health, prevent mental health conditions, strengthen social protection, and provide rehabilitation and reintegration services through a continuum of care approach. As an intern, you’ll support transformative mental health policies, multi-sectoral partnerships, and proactive service delivery networks that foster emotional resilience and comprehensive well-being across Bhutan.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and analyzing data to support mental health programs and preventive strategies.
- Help coordinate community outreach and awareness initiatives to promote mental well-being.
- Support administrative tasks to ensure effective delivery of rehabilitation and reintegration services.
- Work with teams to advance initiatives fulfilling The PEMA’s mandates.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Motivated students or recent graduates passionate about mental health advocacy and public service in Bhutan.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, and critical thinking.
- A compassionate mindset, cultural sensitivity, and eagerness to learn in a mission-driven environment.
Program Specifics:
- Unpaid position.
- Up to three months in length, with possible extensions depending on requirements.
